i got a piec o **** car

i got my 1990 formula in april it has 150,000 miles on it and the thing is slow as hell and it idles rough at around 220 degrees is it this common for it to be running so bad? is there any thing i can do? well maybe i should start off with what i have done. so far since i have got the thing i have replaced plugs, wires, fuel filter, cap and rotor, o2 sensor, i got the fuel rail flushed out, and i got a new fuel pump because the old one went out, and i use tons of the fuel injector cleaner. so please anyone tell me what i can do to improve the performance.

Re: i got a piec o **** car

it's 15 years old and has 150k on it, it's an old car, it probably just has a tired engine. Do a compression test and see how that is, maybe it just needs a new engine.

Does Washington State have a lottery? If so, buy a ticket. Then get your compression tested.

a nice headliner and working electric hatch doesnt mean its a good car.

And BTW, I did tell you what to do, you just don't seem to want to take my advice. Do a compression test and see how bad the rings are.

Count your blessings, the hatch on my '02 has never worked right!
You need to get a compression test. Get off the Internet, get on the phone, call a few garages, get estimates, and get it done! Sheesh.

Re: i got a piec o **** car

is your hatch electric? if it is, it could still work you just need to manually reset the gears, in the little motor, and than replace the fuse.
