Re: I broke my Dash!!

i did the exact same thing............luckily it was only a small corner, and i just glued it back. u might want to look for a new piece in a junkyard. it's pretty common for people to break this part....

Re: I broke my Dash!!

only the ones from 93 to 96 will fit, they changed them in 97. I believe they are about 100.00 new, or you might be able to score one in the for sale section, I think there are some cars being parted out on there now. Or you can patch it back together and live with the crack (i wouldn't though). Dont know how you took it out, but you should always remove the a-pillars before removing this piece. Hope that helps.

These are held in with a metal clip on the backside in 2 or 3 places. From what I've been told just pry them off.

That is correct, they just pull off at kind of a downward angle, no tools should be necessary. The A pillars mount in some little grooves at the end of that top piece of the dash, it's not supposed to come out untill the A pillars are removed.

BTW, I wasn't trying to critique you on how you took it out, just giving you a heads up for future installation and removal. Sometimes, if they are sun damaged enough you can still crack them when pulling them loose from the velcro even with the A pillars removed. Anyway, I wasn't trying to be a smartass, sorry if it came across that way

Re: I broke my Dash!!

You might as well go on and get a new one. When I cracked mine, I called every salvage yard in Houston and I could not find a good one or none of them had them. I guess you could try one of those F-body salvage yards...
