Hvac Delete!!

I have a 94 LT1, and did the hvac delete plate, it looks so much clearner in the enging bay and what not. My question is the coolant lines that ran from the heater core to the ports on the water pump, what did you guys use to plug them since there will be no coolant going to those anymore. Did you guys use a big vacum cap and put a clamp on it??? Thanks Mark

Re: Hvac Delete!!

I am in the process of low mounting my alternator and installing a new manifold but if you want I can snap a few pics of my HVAC delete.
I used vacuum caps and worm clamps and its worked fine.
I also made my own HVAC delete plate and a plate to cover the hole in the dash.

and to you guys who can,t imagine running the car without AC.......I can,t imagine having a real hot rod with AC. Different strokes I guess.
I also deleted the power steering and the stereo.

So its not a hod rod until I take my A/C out? I guess I can live with driving a "regular" car.

Unless your on the highway t tops wont cool you off in 90 degree heat. If anything they will be worse because you wont have any shade, the sun beats right into the car.

Just my opinion of course.
My AC has been gone for years and honestly......I never miss it.
Of course all the old musclecars I had over the years never had AC either. I guess I am just used to it.

Re: Hvac Delete!!

I'll be taking just my A/C out, like the condensor and the compressor and crap, but I'm leaving the heater core and everything to do with heat in. There is no chance in hell I'm taking off my dash to pull the heater core crap out!
