How are you protecting your fog lamp lenses?

How are you protecting your fog lamp lenses?
I just took my '94 Trans Am on a road trip and one of my fog lamps took a hit from a rock and the lens is toast. Is there a protective film or anything I can adhere to the lens that will protect it?
