How to test a window motor to see if it works?--Grand prix
This is in my "beater" I have a 93 Grand Prix and my window motor driverside isnt working, Is there anyway to test the motor to see if its bad? , the switch is good. I know gm isnt known for the best powerwindow motors but i wanna be sure that its bad before i change it. Also does anyone know if there is a shoebox type site on how to change out a motor?
sorry if i posted in the wrong section but I looked everywhere else
thanks

Use a voltmeter right at the wire terminals of the motor, if there is voltage going to the motor and its not doing anything it has to be the motor.

Just jumper 12v and ground directly to the motor wires. It's possible that it uses a very similar motor to the one in the f-body. People have emailed me that they used my instructions as a guide on other GM models and it saved them some trouble.
