In addition to the door and underhood SLP SS stickers listing the options, my SS came with alot of documentation. Ask the owners to show you the paperwork.

Check the RPO Codes for:

'96 - '97 - R7T
'98 - '02 - WU8

(You never said what year the car in question is.)

Some tart asked me today if my 88 IROC-Z28 was a SS....I had to inform him, no SS's were available again until 1996

SLP is very helpful in this regard. They gave me a lot of info over the phone (build #, options, etc...) in just one phonecall.

Don't know who the people are on this web site, but I do not believe this is correct!!!!
The "official" GM RPO Code for the 96 & 97 SS is WU8.
RPO code: WU8; SS Performance Package/Appearance Package - Camaro
The R7A and R7T are for sales items - SLP, these plus others are an indication that you have an SS, but are not definitive!
I know, i know, it's a minor point.
