How to replace blinker bulb?
How to replace blinker bulb?
Hi everyone,
I know this is probably a real silly question to ask. But I just went to the dealers to replace my front left blinker bulb which went bad. And they asked me to keep the car there awhile for them to fix it. I know it definitely does not take long to replace a blinker bulb. Well the daytime running light left side is not on either. I don't know if there are two bulbs there one for daytime and one for the blinker.
Could anyone help me out on how to remove the bulb and put a new one in it?
I wish I had a garage or something to keep my car in..then maybe I could buy a service manual and do all of this myself instead of going to the dealer's for all this stuff
Thanks
Kind Regards
Aby Philip

this is how i did it, may be wrong, may be right, but it works. underneath the front bumper cover are plastic panels. unscrew the screws that hold up one of the flaps right in front of the tire (should be on the side of the bumper). should be two-three screws, about a 10x10 square flap. fold it down and you should be able to reach the back of your turn signal assembly. the bulb/plug is held in by a clip, push the clip and twist to free it. then pull it out of the turn signal housing. pull the bulb, put the new on in. reverse directions to get everything back to normal. i did this without jacking up my car (garage is full of junk and driveway is too steep). did it about 3 times because for some reason my turn signals kept burning out.
Or....you could just remove your headlight. Takes one bolt and slides out. I tried that under panel and my panel did not want to pop open. I damn near removed the whole front valance doing it lol. Then I saw that you just need to move one 10mm bolt and slide the housing out. Goes back in and it is still aligned if you are worried about that.
lol. i never actually tried to remove the headlight, i looked at it and figured i still wouldn't be able to get to the bulb so i went from underneath. i guess it does work, and i would guess much better.
