How rare is an SS with a cloth interior?
How rare is an SS with a cloth interior?
A friend of mine picked up a red '00 SS 6spd with a cloth interior (don't remember the color). I didn't even know they made SS models without leather interiors. Anyone know how rare this is?

Weird, neither me or my other buddy knew that. He had a leather '99 SS, and now our other friend has that cloth '00. Just didn't realize it was that popular. I figured that would have been included in the SS option.

Just read whats left of my signature. Odds are your cars were all ordered by the original buyer. I had to order my car. Basically because there wasnt a Z28 or SS in dealers stock within 3 states of me. That didnt have leather to do a dealer trade with. And truth be told cloth even black is cooler then any color of leather in the sun down here.

YES! I agree, the cloth mouse fur is much more comfortable in a warm climate. The stuff wears like iron, too. Had it on two previous F-bodies, with no problems or premature wear. Just a tad of sun fade on the seat back under the hatch on my Tran Am, after 10+ years . . .
