I got Mac mids, and i could tell a difference, but it wasnt like a night and day difference. I really noticed at WOT in the 3000+ RPM range

Oh, you'll notice it. No doubt. Made a big difference to me. Before, I was never able to just stomp on it at like 15 mph and break the tires loose. Now I can, and that's with wider, stickier tires than I had before. SOTP =

That's with going from a CAI only; to CAI, MAC mids, and Hooker catback.

It's not a big gain such as LT. I have JBA's and it gave me 9rwhp, but the tq was good at 20rwtq. I see you have a cut out which will help a little more. I notice all the power in low rpm for tq but open it up a little in the upper rpm range.

one more thing. Will i notice an even more gain since the 1.6rr's will be pulling in more air. And did you notice a difference in gas mileage.

would shorties give you more power on a stock engine or a mildly modded engine? or will it be the same?

The SOTP feeli is just a personal impression. For example went from a 305 to a 350 and felt the difference. But after a week you don;t even notice it anymore.

Isn't that the truth. You get so used to what you have. I can still notice the difference in mine, but I drove my car for 7 years in stock trim with CAI only, so I got VERY used to how it felt. It's still easy for me to realize that I have an extra 30 rwhp/rwtq since I installed the headers/catback this spring.

By the way jason93z, yes, the headers should help your car even more since you have 1.6RR's. The RR's are trying to pull more air into the engine, and if the stock manifolds are choking the exhaust, the headers will make a slightly higher impact on your car than most.

www.jet-hot.com sells them with the nice Jet Hot coating for about $560 including shipping. That's for the headers, y-pipe, header bolts, and copper header gasket. You want the '94-'95 style MAC's with Y-pipe. They are considered the midlengths.
