How much does a typical battery weigh?

I was reading posts about battery relocation and was just curious how much a battery really does weigh? The batteries I'm used to dealing with are all out of commercial vehicles and are much larger then the ones we have. I have yet to take the one in my camaro out with it being in the shop the past month.

Dang, I didn't realize they were that heavy. I changed mine out Monday I wish now that I would have weighed it just to see. If its truely 40 pounds or more it would be a benefit to move them to the rear of the car and distribute the wieght better.
