How much better will a 97 Firehawk run than a 97 Z28?

I might get a 97 Firehawk. I just wanted to know do they run better than a
97 Z28. Stock vs Stock. I have a 97 Z28 now. I was thinking about getting the Firehawk and maybe trade my Z28 for a winter ride later on. My mods I have for my Z I could put them on the firehawk. The reason I was thinking about doing this is because my Z is getting some miles on it. Thanks for any replys.

It is based on the WS6 Trans Am so it has the same LS1 although through the expertise of SLP have increased its output to 335hp. With several mods i believe u will achieve the same times as your 97z

LT1 Firehawks and SS's do seem to run a little better then the base models(maybe a 10th or 2) but dont think your gonna go out and run w/ a LS1 stock

The 97 Firehawk will have a LT1 in it.

Well I went an test drove the Fierhawk. My Z feels alot stronger. I have a hypertech programmer , gutted cats, cat back exhaust,52mm tb, cai, 273 gears.
I don't know if I'm going to get it now. My Z just feels alot stronger. I know it should with the bolt ons. The firehawk didn't put me back in the seat like I thought it would. the dealer has a red srt-4 there too,but I can't see myself driveing a neon.

I am shocked you said the Firehawk didn't feel as strong. Those 273 gears in your Z versus the Hawk gears (you didn't say if it was an auto or 6m) should make a difference. If the Hawk was a good price, I would take off the mods you have on the Z and put them on the Hawk since the Hawk is much more rare. Just my $.02.

That really doen't surprise me, the engines in both vehicles are the same unless the Firehawk has the LT4. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Firehawk has ram air and a different exhaust and that is pretty much it for HP mods. Your Z28 with the mods you have done should feel as strong if not stronger than the Firehawk. I believe the Firehawk has much better suspension components though. If the price was fair I would still probally go for the hawk because of its low production numbers.

I am about 100% certain that auto Hawks came with 3.23 gears versus your 2.73. That in itself is an upgrade.

Actually thats like stepping up from a formula to a trans am
The interior is the exact same on the LX as the GT its just ground effects and tail lights on 87-93's that make the difference. Aside from the Tail lights thats the exact same difference in the Formy and TA. A camaro aside from the chassis and drivetrain is a completely different car. Same exact car just completely different

I would think any f-body with a 3.23 would feel faster than your car. No offense, but I would think your mods would do absolutely nothing for the butt dyno you're using, may actually hurt down low a tiny bit. I think something was wrong with the Firehawk.

Just my 2 cents.
