Id say if its anything longer than 3 months, park it with a full tank with stabil additive.

I've heard conflicting things regarding the timeframe in which gas goes bad. I have had cars sit for at least six months and had no issues with the gas going bad. From what I gathered, it seems that the quality of the gas and the additives used also helps in how long it stays good.

You could think of it on a worst case scenario...
Option 1 - Drain the tank: Worst case is you are out the cost of a tank of gas and the time it takes to jump the fuel pump and empty the tank.
Option 2 - Go for it: Worst case is you foul your plugs and o2 sensors and gunk everything up, and then you are still out the cost of a tank and the time to drain it.
Its your choice.

mines been sitting since november with idk, 1/2 tank or so. I plan on adding 1/2 tank of 109 unleaded, driving it, and then filling with pump gas and driving it after the 1/2 and 1/2 tank is gone.

I can only speak from personal experience on this, but I park my Z28 usually in mid-october and I don't drive it again until mid April usually, when I park the park I don't put in fuel stabilizer and haven't had fuel related yet and I bought the car and have stored it like that every winter.

I try to use up as much of the old gas before adding new in the spring, and try to get my first oil change after the old gas has gone thru, why, who knows.

I agree w/ Lunchbox ~ I do the same thing w/ my 69 Z/28 for 20 years now ~ never a problem ~ Gasoline has a 1 year shelf life.
