How to get long tubes and catback installed

The shops I have spoken to wont do long tubes becasue they would have to remove the cat and its illegal. I would like to get long tubes, a random tech cat and a hooker catback. You would think this is perfectly legal. How does everyone else do it without a lift?

You probably need to have the car about 3 feet off the ground. Use blocks to put your car on. Jack stands probably won't get it. I had to work up top on a ladder while the car was in the air.

BTW, if you move the cat from it's origonal location, it's illegal.

i did mine by myself in my driveway...10.5hours from start to finish

i was able to use jackstands on top of two 6" cinderblocks to get the car high enough.

there is a great install guide on my webpage in the sig (page 11)

i suggest trying it yourself...it's not hard...just a bit time consuming.

it's not like you are torquing or pushing and shoving on things...

i had the rear up about 3" as well on some blocks just for some added room. and the wheels were all braced so they couldn't move...with E-brake on and in gear

it isn't that bad
