How do you disconnect wires from gauge cluster?

How do you disconnect wires from gauge cluster?

How does one disconnect the wire groupage thing that connects to the left side of the gauge cluster?

I don't remember anything special other than it just unplugs.

Well, I checked out a site where it says to pinch the "ears" and pull but I tried that and it didn't budge...I'm just afraid of busting something. That has to be the only way so I will try again. Thanks.

Yeah, I worked on my gauges today and it doesn't come off easily.. Like you said, press in the ears on either side of the plug then pull and wiggle the plug a little.. It will come off.

??? Neither of mine seem to have the ears on the back. You just pull the cluster straight out and off it comes.

Yep it can be tricky. Just pinch the tabs together and pull firmly, wiggle back and forth while pulling firmly and it should come off.
