Hey, I'm talking about taking out the panel that's next to the back seats, and has a speaker in there. I can't get the stuipid thing out because of the latch on the coathanger hook.

 

Take a small flat head screw driver and work out the square middle clip thing in the middle of the coat hanger. It will come out but be careful.

 

Yeah, sure it'll come out I was trying that but I was afraid I was going to break something, I'll try it tommorrow when I'm not p!ssed off at installing this stereo. When you are working on your car for 6 hours straight, sometimes you just need to call it quits for the day before you go batty

 

yeah i am currious how to remove them as well, because i have a blown passenger side tweeter

 

You don't have to remove the whole panel. The speaker grill snaps in. Just start one side and work your way around. It is much easier to remove the grill than the panel.

 

So they just snap out? The reason why i think i have to remove the sail pannel is because my passenger side tweeter was popping (thinking it might be blown) then it stopped working then shortly after the drivers side stopped working. So i dont know if it is a connection or fuse or what that is causeing both of them to not work. How does it clip in? Do i just pinch from the sides and it comes out?

 

Just stick your finger under the edge. There is one spot (on my car anyway) it pops out real easy, I think it is the bottom front part but not sure. Just work your way around until it starts out and continue. It's really easy just be careful you dont break it.

 

Ok i will give it a shot, will i be able to remove the tweeter if i get the speaker grate off?

 

Yeah, you can get to all the screws that hold the speaker in and the hole is large enough to pull the speaker out of.
