I know what a WS6 looks like and everything, but I just got a car that is supposedly a WS6 but am having small doubts. The VIN number is 2G2FV22P9V2217767, but where can I use the number to check to see if it is a legit WS6? I really would prefer a free way to find that out if possible, since I can spend $24.99 on something more interesting than a carfax report.

 

i believe it is an RPO code. look in your glove box. you will see a bunch of 3 letter/ number codes. write down all your RPO codes and look them up on the internet and you can find out all the options your car had from the factory. that's what i did and it's kind of cool. and free

 

If its 98+ (LS1) the RPO codes are on the inside of the drivers door.

The RPO code your looking for is WS6.
