if you buy a used cam off of this board or off ebay or something, when you recieve the cam, how can you tell if it's the right one you paid for, is there a part number etched onto the cam itself?? if not, how do you tell?

 

probably have a machine shop check it.

not sure if they have part numbers...i'm sure oem parts do...not sure of aftermarket

 

Almost all after market cams have the PN stamped on the front of the cam. You can check or call the manufacturer and get the info. on the cam. from them.
