if you hone your block can you still you the orginal 4.00 piston ring??i have no clue about the machine work aspect of a motor

 

if the cyls are good and square and not out of round/egg shaped then you could hone it and put a set of rings in.You can't reuse the same rings after you hone it. B/c they will not seal.

If you take it apart expect it to need to be bored and a set of pistons. You never know til you take it apart and have it checked
