Home made polly mounts?

I was just waltzing around the internet today and came across this site. I did a little research and found that this is actually old hat in many import circles. I would guess it would work across the board though.

I'm kinda leary about a harsh ride with true polly mounts but this would be a great in between I would think. Also, the poly inserts are kinda difficult to install, this method might be doable without removing the mounts from the car. Just drive up some tire ramps, jack the motor up to remove the load from the mounts and fill in the open space around the rubber mount. And give it a weekend to dry. Anyone actually do something like this?

sofar the only poly bushing that has caused an increase in vibration has been my trans mount.

i have sway bars, phb, lca and motor...all are great.

specially the motor mounts...they prevent the engine from moving almost 100%
