Curious, would you guys buy an ls1 fbody with over 100k miles? From the Chicagoland area?

i would say it depends on the price and condition of the car miles are irrelivant if they have taken very good care of it and done all the scheduled maint. Plus now a days 100k is just breaking in a car its not the 1970s anymore where we didn't have the technology to make cars last

Anything from the mid-west is going to require very careful inspection of the underbody. While the engines will last a long time, the body can be destroyed by rust. We are seeing more frequent cases of people buying 4th Gens that have spent their lives in the snow belt, and the destruction is unbelievable.

I've lived in California all my life so I can't speak specifically about snow-belt F-body's but my general rule when it comes to rust is, if you can actually see it on areas of the car it's probably worse where you can't see it.
