hi-flow cats

How raspy will the car be with out cats? How much louder? Is it equivelant to cats and a cut-out?

Re: hi-flow cats

ok...i have an SLP dual/dual muffler set up. Same one from factory...the '345hp system.' Its not too loud. So how bad will that be with no cats and LT's?

Re: hi-flow cats

A stock exhaust with no cats will be loud but not that bad since the stock exhaust is so restrictive and you don't have headers.

Re: hi-flow cats

its not stock exhaust, it was the exhaust performance option from factory. same as the center mount, just with a dual/dual.

Re: hi-flow cats

In terms of loudness, there was no difference from when my car just had the long tubes and off-road y-pipe to when I had a shop weld in a pair of high-flow cats. As for the raspiness, if there is any, the cats should help clean that up.

Re: hi-flow cats

well, i was looking at the hooker comps...and they sit very tight to the car. so there isnt room for the cats. the cats will actually hit the floor boards.

Re: hi-flow cats

Its possible you may drag them with those lowering springs. The band clamps shouldn't be a problem, just position the clamp so that the bolts aren't pointing straight down.
