Hi

Hey guys,
I live in South London, UK, and want to get a Camaro coz I dont see the point of tuning my MR2 turbo to 450 or so bhp for the following reasons. Cost, its alot of money to get that kinda horsepower for a 2 litre *** motor. Reliability starts to come into focus as you never know when the things gonna blow up. Insurance costs on *** imports over here is freakin stupid! Turbo lag, I hate it, nothing til 2500 rpm then after 5300 again, boosts all dried up, or you have to wait til like 4 - 5000rpm if you have a larger one! And they sound no where near as good as a proper muscle car, Line up a tuned *** car next to an equally tuned muscle car and the latter is gaurenteed to make your ears bleed faster!!

Anyway I wanna get hold of a 98 or 99 model, manual, but should i go for a z28 or an SS, whats the difference?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys and thanks for listening to my rant!

I would send a PM to CamaroUK, he lives in that country somewhere if I'm not mistaken.

The difference between a Z28 and SS, appearance and some content in terms of performance, I don't know the specifics of performance but it really doesn't matter if you're going to mod it, it'll be quick in either trim.

I don't know if GM even sold it there, but if they didn't, then I would check with your local government (parliament is it?) rulings on transportation to see if it is legal to import and legal to drive on the roads and all.
