Help!! Mufflex Y-Pipe crazy leaking. How do you seal it?

Well... have an obvious exhaust leak.. so i thought it was the flange gaskets, but now thatI've dropped the exhaust.. I noticed carbon deposites where the "breaks" in the mufflex y-pipe are. The ones that you use the exhaust clamps on.

How do I seal them up?? They were tightened with an air gun! Should I use a torque wrench and really give it?

Thanks!

Mine didn't seal worth a **** because the 4" pipe was too heavy to be supported by the exhaust clamps and would move under heavy acceleration/deceleration, so I just welded it.

Same here, I ended up welding mine and then just last week, I replaced it with a Hooker Y pipe, The Hooker is MUCH better in my opinion.
