Help me Un-bypass VATS (SECURITY light on, no fuel system function, on a bypass car)
My car stopped running 'suddenly'...
So far, I have traced the problem back to an aftermarket alarm & accompanying VATS bypass....
As part of the install for this POS (DEI 'Concept 20') the hacks who put it in bypassed VATS.
The car would start & run with a no-pellet key, but the SECURITY light on...
Well, that bypass has failed.
It failed while I was driving, specifically, causing the fuel system to shut down, and the car to stall....
Now, the car cranks, but the fuel system does not operate....
There is no injector function, and no signal to the fuel pump relay (Verified at the relay itself, voltage never rises above 2v - usually .7v when the key is turned for 2-3sec, then nothing)....
However, both the prime connector and jumpering the relay cause the pump to pressurize to ~42PSI.
The SECURITY light is on solid still...
This seems to confirm (To me) that the VATS bypass has failed...
Problem?
I can't find the damn thing to rip it out.... Where should I be looking - there is no extra 'black box' or circuit board anywhere I can see under the dash....
I've removed the aftermarket security brain & wiring, and reconnected as much of the wires from that as I can match up... No change...
