Help, keep blowing fuses with my DMH cutout

I wired it to the cigar lighter (which is a 25amp fused 12v source). After a few uses, blew the 25amp fuse. I found a 30amp fuse and stuck it in there, blew that, blew about 3 more 20amp fuses. All the fuses I have blown are in the fuse block.

Should I be wiring this to something with more amperage?

Any idea on what this thing draws on? I want to re-wire this, but don't know what to hook it to.

Thanks

Im not sure if its correct to wire it to the big lighter, but i would make sure the hot cig lighter wire is not making contact with the ground wire i blew many fuses when those two wires touched. im not a wiring expert but i would wire it to one of the 12v sources under the steering column, probably the one thats hot when the engine is running.

I have a DMH electric cut-out and I wired it to the same power wire as you and I have not had any problems so far. I would guess that your motor is drawing more power than it should and is bad. Time to use your warranty ( assuming nothing is wrong with your cig. lighter circuit).

just go to an autoparts store, and buy a fuseable link, in a high amperage, and wire it fromt that.
