Help I am locked out, and out a camaro
Help I am locked out, and out a camaro
I took out my dad's 2000 Silverado Last night and locked the keys in the car. He is now driving my camaro untill he gets his truck back. Does anyone know how to break into these things. The keys are sittng on the front seat... how depressing

your an idiot, who locks there keys in their car? i mean come on, its not that hard to keep your keys in your hand, im glad you were locked out you moron...

You can get the VIN and go to a Chevy dealership and ask them to make a key. Probably less than pop-a-lock and 100% legal. They may want you to bring the title in or some other proof of ownership so that they know you own (or your dad) the vehicle.

True most do have two sets of keys, but if not, this always works for me, take a small ice scraper (the ones that are only 7or8 inch long) and wedge it inbetween the top of the door some where (or the glass just be VERY carefull) and then take two coat hangers twisted together with a hook on one end. Take your ice scraper insert it into the door crack or glass, and turn it 90degrees (or how ever far is comfortable for you) so it props the door or glass out alittle bit, then stick you long coat hanger with hook into the crack and try to hook the keys. this method usally works for me on just about all my friends cars
Just remember to becareful and take your time, and if you have to pry on the glass be extra careful, or else your dad will be really mad at you.

Call the dealer. My mom locked herself out of our 1999 suburban, she called the dealer and they can actually make you another key! They brought it to us free of charge too

My girlfriend recently did the same thing. She called a locksmith and it was actually much cheaper than we expected...I think it was like $25. The guy said he lived local and stopped on his way home and it literally took him like 3 seconds with an old fashioned pick. I was amazed.
