Hello from a n00b!

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am on the pro-touring.com forums as well.

After almost a year of looking, my dad and I just acquired this 69 Camaro RS/SS. Over the next couple of years, we will be doing a full Pro-Toruing conversion/restoration on the car.

Unfortuneately due to my wife being in school, I am away from home (and the car) for the next year. My dad plans to get the body work and modifications completed this summer so that when I return we can get going on the drivetrain and interior.

Rough plans include:

Aluminum Small block
Low compression forged internals
Twin GT42R Ball Bearing Turbos
Custom Intercooler
Custom Sheetmetal intake manifold
Custom Stainless Stee Headers/exhaust manifolds
Standalone Fuel Injection w/ direct fire coil ignition & Twin bank Wide Band O2 (Haven't decided what system, but TEC III, FAST, Big Stuff III are on my short list so far)
Racelogic Traction Control
T-56 6 Speed
Wayne Due Front Clip
DSE Mini Tubs
DSE Frame Connectors
13.5" Baer Brakes
4-link rear suspension
Bilstein Coil Overs
Currie 9" Rear end
10pt Roll Cage
4 Sparco Milano Seats w/ harnesses
DSE Custom Dash w/ Autometer Guages (Speedo, Tach, EGT, Boost, Water Temp, Oil Temp, Fuel Level, Fuel Pressure)
Vintage Air A/C
18" Wheels, 335/30/18 rear tires, 275/35/18 front

In the next while i will be making a webpage to document the build of the car.

I have been lurking here for a while, and this place looks like a great group of people! I look forward to meeting you all one day at some event! Take care.

Trevor

My dad had a '69 SS when he was my age (22~ish!) and it was originally Hugger Orange, then he painted it blue almost exactly the same as that car!

69's are probably one of the "coolest" of all Camaros ever. I think it's safe to say they're probably one of, if not the most desirable years to own as well.

Your plans for the car are not going to be cheap, but will all be well worth it if you guys do it right. I look forward to seeing your progress with the car.

Oh yeah, and welcome to CZ28.com.....your new home away from home!!
