Heater hose question.

I've been dealing with this problem for several years. Just to get by in the typical short winters in the H town area, I have been able up to this point to kinda rig up my heater hose assembly to get me through our long cold winters we have.

Anyway through all my "rigging" I think I have gone as far as I can without just going out and buying a whole new heater hose assembly from the dealer which is about a 180.00. Last year a small pin like hole ruptured in the aluminum tubing in the assembly.

I guess the ultimate question would be is if their is a autoparts store, or aftermarket place that I could purchase the stock assembly from without spending a fortune? The other option I am thinking of is just attempting to run good ole fashioned heater hose from the heater core to the water pump.

I realize that the second option would look like crap, clutter the engine bay, and would probaly run into unforeseen obstacles. I'd much rather use the stock setup, I just don't have the money the dealer wants for it right now.

As always any input is appreciated, especially since the last few days going to work at 4o a.m. I am freezing my ***** off for the 28 mile ride.

It will only cost you about half of that amount if you use one of the people recommended on my website.
