heater controls

ok so on my 1994 ta the heater controls don't really seem to work properly.. the defroster is half assed and it will come out the floor but that is it and it doesn't seem to be full power but i can hear the fan changing speed when changing fan speed settings but i don't know what to do to get it to work right.. anyone got an idea.

this should prolly be in the general section but.....


the first thing you might want to check would be to make sure you have vacuum to the control head. and if you do then check and see if vacuum is applied to the servo's on the heater box

then go from there, your gonna need some basic information to get started

Smile What exactly is the problem?

I was getting ready to change the controls out on my 94Z (177K miles) and read about the heater core ~ poor design. My problem was no heat w/ the controls on full hot ~ problem was the heater core. The design clogs & the water will just return to the radiator. I change the core (little expensive) but now its like is was when new. Check your heater core before you go ripping all the controls apart.
