Heater bypassed?
Heater bypassed?
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot mods, but I didn't find anything that really had to do with this.
My car is from texas and I was wondering if the heater might be bypassed. I can never get heat out of it and how some people say they always feel a little air blowing on their leg. I don't feel that ever. So if it is bypassed how do i un-bypass it? Being up north I kind of would like to be able to feel my fingers.

Re: Heater bypassed?
You should be able to easily look at the heater hoses and see if it is bypassed. If it is not, it is more likely clogged (common problem). Remove the heater hoses at the water pump and flush both ways with a garden hose. Keep moisture off the opti.

Shoebox, I'll try flushing the hoses but being how cold it is outside, i do not think i can get the hose to work.

Plus the in/outlet to/from the waterpump was plugged with some rubbery substance seen in the picture just to the left of the yellow connector.
I have no idea why somebody would do somthing like that, but I guess they had their reasons for it.
Those people in CA are something else...
But now the heater works great.
