Headlights and Fog lamps ???

Headlights and Fog lamps ???
Currently I have stock lamps in both, but I want to replace the bulbs with new (white Or blue) lamps like you find on the new Lexus and Mercedes cars. My bulbs now are the more yellowish color, but I really like the white/blue look. Does anyone know where I can get these bulbs to do this? Or if they even make them?
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Headlights and Fog lamps ???
Since the stock lamps are sealed beam you either have to buy totally new aftermarket high performance lights or moddify the stock ones. I modified the stock ones useing this website. The lights are whiter and brighter than stock. Its a very nice upgrade compared to stock. You also might want to try a search. There have been alot of write ups.http://performanceworks1.com/headlightmod.htm

Re: Headlights and Fog lamps ???
1) A 1998 Camaro does not have sealed beam headlights. Those were from 1993-1997.
2) The lights the poster is referring to are HID lights. These are special bulbs powered by a ballast, usually in projector headlight assemblies. In short, you can't just swap out the bulb and expect the same lights.
What you see some import cars (and some domestics) do is swap out the stock bulb and replace them with blue-tinted bulbs (not HID). These bulbs filter out the yellow light and give them a blue-ish color but the light output is greatly diminished.
I've tried nearly every bulb out to simulate the HID look, but none were really great. While you get a nice look, you sacrifice the light on the road.
Pictures from my experiments.
If you want the real HID, be prepared to spend upwards of $500 for a good kit.
