Headers/Cutouts/Y-pipe HELP!??

I own a 94 Camaro Z28 A4. With a Borla cat back on it. I recently purchased a Borla Y-pipe from Borla (which I believe are now discontinued) with the part that hooks up to the exhaust manifold or headers (which I don't have being 2.75" and it goes down to a 3" collector. My question is what kind of options do i have for headers and if I put headers on, would I be able to put electric exhaust cut outs on as well,? while still having the y-pipe on there as well?? sorry i'm not overly knowledgeable about exhaust work, which is why I am here. So if anyone could help or throw some names out there of headers and cutouts I would greatly appreciate it!!
Thanks,

Re: Headers/Cutouts/Y-pipe HELP!??

You can use any shorty header and retain your Borla y-pipe. All long tube headers will require a new y-pipe. The best shortie headers are JBA's (expensive), followed by Edelbrock shorties. For long tubes I like the Jet Hot headers (reasonable $) or (cheap) Pacesetters. A cut out is a cut out, any will do if you like really loud!
