Header question !

I was wondering if anyone had ever repaired a damaged longtube. I have a set of FLP longtubes and one of the pipes that hang down on the passenger side scraped a speed bump. It put a small dent and scrape into the pipe. I am going to get the FLP's recoated and would like to repair the ding/scrape on the header so it looks like brand new again. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have a second question. I thinking about have Paul Barry motorsports recoat my FLP's? Does anyone have any suggestions on recoats from any other MFG's (ie:Jet Hot, etc.). It looked like PB Motorsports would be 190(ceramic chrome) + 50(2100 coating) = $240 does that seem reasonable ??

Thanks Mike

Re: Header question !

I remember reading somewhere a long while back... Somebody drilling a hole in a dented header tube and using a dent puller (slide hammer style) and popping it out.. Then they welded the hole back up and ground it smooth.. Don't know if it would work, or if it's BS, but since no one responded I thought I'd toss in what I heard.

Re: Header question !

You must have hit that speed bump kinda hard. I run the same headers and have no problem.
