the weight of my car is 3560 with ~150 pound of audio equipment in the back no spare or jack

how does thi sound to u guys ...is that normal

also i have 3.23 gears would 3.73 gears be a good upgrade?

 

That's a tad heavy.......but understandable if you have that much audio crap.....

If you have an auto, then yes go with the 3.73's - if it's a manual you have, go with 4.10's.

 

Mine is 3590 with me in it [190] no spare/jack, and half a tank of gas..
So that's just about right..

Mine was 3540 with me and 1/2 tank..full weight, t-tops, auto car.

 

If you want to have a fast car take that audio crap out. It's a waste of money anyway. Just my opinion of course.

 

That audio crap your speaking of probably helps more than it hinders.. It's in the rear and over the rear.. Sounds like a good place for weight.. If your that concerend with it get a glass hood and fenders, alum. heads, Tubular K-member and a-arms.. loose weight in the front.. make her squat in the rear!!!

 

My 1995 Z28 4A with a full tank of fuel and my 260 pounds in it was 3,780 at the track a couple weeks ago. That was as I drive it on the street.

 

mine is 3700 witha full tank,t-tops, stereo crap, and me at 165. that s what i call heavy

the glass ss hoods weigh more than the stock one. the fenders are already plastic, and the head are already aluminum

 

y would my audio crap matter...on race day its a simple 5 minute procedure to take it out ....

 

3700 pounds with my 250 pound lard *** sitting in it and 1/3 of a tank of gas. Car is a 1995 M6 with leather, t-tops, power everything, spare tire/jack, absolutely no weight reduction. When I race I ususlly have a full tank of gas and other junk in the car, so race weight is ~3750 or so. Damn these cars are heavy.
