A good place to start fixing up a 2000 SS??
agreed with the SFC, they will tighten the car up for everyday driving as well as "spirited" and racing.
for horsepower, basic easier air in, and easier exhaust out are the best places to start. iintake and exhaust can actually increase gas milage, although it tends not to cause you usually end up reving it more for the enjoyment
some basic simple mods for hp would be:
lid
catback
headers
computer reprogram (custome or hand held to adjust shift points)

a good car wash and an oil chance are good place to start also. but just like subframes the car is no faster. you can not go wrong with subframes there are deffinetly benifits. but they dont make you any faster.
Well, I've got this crazy idea in my head to make my car a "supercar" one day, but I want to start on other things than power for right now. I was thinking of going for: exterior, interior, suspension/stiffening. I already have Borla exhaust on the car (sounds nice), and although it does help gas mileage, I do love to hear it and I always rev up and gun it a lot... heh The engine is the LAST thing I want to mess with.
that info would have helped in your original post.
-eibach prokit (1.3" drop)
-sfc
-BMR stb, lca, relocation brackets, adjustable phb, 32/21mm sway bars
-rims with a good set of tires(firestone firehawk sz50)
-SLP ultraZ hood
-ZR28 spoiler
-Zaino car polish
for rims i personally like the look of the corvette Y2K thin spokes, ZO6, or the tried and true ZR1s
