Going to race
Re: Going to race
You better be good at launching. He'll give you a hell of a run do to his ability to launch from around 5,000rpm with AWD. Virtually no wheelspin, no drama, just traction and go. If your racing from a roll it won't be too much of a problem, but from a dig it'll be tough.
And also, even if he says he has no mods, make sure for yourself. Even small things like upping the boost, although it isn't really a "mod" it can make the difference between you winning or losing.

Re: Going to race
no offense...but i'd get some brains.
racing for $500 when you are new to you car and are not even sure what it will do....
just don't come crying to us when you can't afford to buy mods...cause you lose money on stupid races.
race for $50....
be sensible....no cocky

Re: Going to race
It can go either way, both cars are tricky to launch.... If he can drive though then you might as well accept a 500.00 dent in your wallet. Maybe you can get or borrow a pair of drag radials as extra insurance.

Re: Going to race
Give us some more details....for that much coin you need to try for every advantage you can, because you know that the other guy wants every advatage he can have. Minimum....you need slicks and a rolling start to even consider racing an evo, if he doesn't want to give you these concessions, then offer to race for less money. If you are worried about saving face during the negotiations, then think how you will feel after you lose......

Re: Going to race
I hate to say it, but you probably won't win. And I will tell you why. The only way to come close is the Perfect launch. Awd is almost impossible to suck at, unless your retarded. But like everyones been saying.....slicks, or no race.
Re: Going to race
Quickly spend that $500 on nitrous to use against him, only if you're retarded will you lose then(or if he is lying about mods). And hope you don't lose and be in debt lol.
Specify how far/how fast you are racing to, try to go to at least 130mph I'd say
