Re: gmmg exhaust questions................

If you are interested in this exhaust, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND one. Everyone compliments me on the sound. It is mean, but not raspy or overly obnoxious. Cruising on the freeway, it isn't much louder than stock, but when you open it up, it feels like a muscle car should. And the quality of craftsmanship and customer service was great. The parts fit like a glove and were easy to install. While it is one of most expensive cat-backs out there it is truly one of those "you get what you pay for" items.

same story for me, good post
with the m6, you can sit at 1500 rpms and not have to worry about it making all kinds of noise

edit: i would reccommend looking at some sites to see if they have a gmmg gp going on
i got mine for 600 this way on ls1tech.com
might want to check there first, then some others

You need to change your profile, its GMMG, not GMMP

As a matter of fact there is a GP going on LS1TECH. $625 this time.

Highly recommend the polished chrome oval tips as well... I know they aren't cheap ($150) but they look terrific.

I noticed you have a vert. Not too loud with the top down with the GMMG?

Yeah Ron got beat up big time, unjustly, by a bunch of kids during the last GP. It really became a mess as people could not go 2 days without knowing the exact status of their order... As I said when I got in on that GP, people need to just chill out and let time pass and know they are getting a superior product! There is no doubt, nothing better than the GMMG chambered exhaust. Even old chics (my girlfriend who is 39) salivate over the sound...

Either way, if you can swing getting the GMMG, you will not be dissapointed..

Nuff said...

Re: gmmg exhaust questions................

Despite the fact I've got a convertible, the GMMG isn't a problem. In fact, it is more sedate that other exhaust systems I've experienced. A friend of mine who has a '93 T-Top Z28 has the flowmaster system and his car is much louder, with more interior resonance than my car. For me the issue isn't just sound level... but the amount of resonance that is translated through the body of the car into mine... rattling my internal organs. That's what will wear you out over time and make you hate an exhaust. The GMMP doesn't do that. While you'll have significantly more exhaust note over stock, you won't experience any added interior resonance with the GMMG. When you combine the superior build quality, easy installation, gorgeous chrome oval tips, awesome sound and "chambered" design that carries the heritage of the 1969 Z28... there is no other choice for a catback.

Re: gmmg exhaust questions................

I second that post. Sounds amazing, the oval tips look really good with my ground effects, and turns heads from a 1/4 mile away. Unfortunatley, I didn't get mine thru gp and paided $850, but I am very happy with it. Worth every penny.

I really didin't like the idea of oval tips myself, to each his own, so I opted for the simple look.. Here are a couple pics..

I have the stainless steel dual/dual exhaust tips from fasttoys.net

They look f***in AWESOME on my WS6, and were only $85 for both.
