GM Power Window Replacement Motors - Bolts or Rivets

Do the GM replacement motors for the windows come with bolts or rivets? I thought I had read somewhere that the replacement motors come with bolts, but the guy I'm getting it from thought they came with rivets, but wasn't sure. Anyone know the answer? This would be for '94.

Don't know about the GM ones, but the ones from parts stores I've seen came with bolts/nuts. If it comes with both I'd use the bolts anyway, won't have to drill rivets again.

Ages ago, my GM motor came with bolts. (At least, I think it did. It may not have come with anything) I know it did not come with rivets.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if the GM motors are better than what I could get at Autozone etc. I know they are more expensive.

Well, I bought two supposedly new GM window motors off ebay from a store, both worked - but one was noisey and one wasn't, and neither came with bolts or rivets. My advice is to get one locally, if you have a problem with it you can return it for another one while the door panel is still off.

I replaced mine with GM parts, ordered from a GM dealer, about 3 years ago. They came with bolts.

Regardless what it comes with, use screws and nylon locknuts

A few years back i replaced my motor and i can verify with 100% certanty it came with nuts and bolts for securing it in place. I had to drill out the stock rivets though.

Use shoebox's guide if you need the ultimate reference:

I can not see using rivets to put a new window motor in an F-Body when it is just gonna hafta be replaced again down the road.
