I have a local guy with one of these engines with about 7k miles on it thats willing to sell it for $1,500. Its complete from carb to oil pan. Says its turn key.

Will this be a direct fit for my 93 trans am? Will I need anything to go with it to make it work? Is it worth it for that price?

Any comments and answers are greatly appreciated.

 

My friend has that in his 88 chicken with the edelbrock TBI intake and a Holley EFI TB / Headers. It's allright. Sounds Mean. I honestly think my LT1 (without mods) would take it. I think those engines are 280 at the fly?

 

Yeah, why would you want one of those in your 93? A stock LT1 would be a much better bet.
