gauge cluster replace

gauge cluster replace

can you replace a 96 gauge cluster with a 97+? i herd that it can be done.

Yes. Both of my 93's have a 97 cluster in them. The only things are your seat belt light will not go all the way out and if you don't have Traction Control then the TCS OFF light will always be on. Works like a charm though, just plug and play. It HAS to be from a 97 though if you're swapping into a 93-96. If it's a 98+ then the gauges act all funky.

well i don't have TC, but what about the odometer?

AFAIK, there's no way to correct the digital odometer on the 97+ gauge clusters. You'r pretty much stuck figuring out the difference at the time of install and keeping that numbers stored in the car, if you want to track it that is.
