My gas is leaking out the filler neck . It's always had a hard time getting the gas cap on but has never had a leak until the past few weeks. So anytime I fill it up it leaks, I'm not sure exactly how much, but more than enough to **** me off cause I'm losing money off of it.

So I bought a new gas cap cause I figured the old one was just messed up around the seal and didn't get anything from it. It still leaks. So I'm not sure how to go about fixing it. I figured it was just the seal but now I don't have any idea.

Anyone have any ideas about how to fix it or what to check?

If you can't find it with a visual inspection my advice is bring it to a shop and have them pressurize it with smoke. Buddy of mine had a small EVAP leak that kept throwing a code and that's how they found his.

The filler hose is a large rubber hose running from the filler neck down to the gas tank "neck". Crawl under the car and check the rubber hose for splits, cracks, cuts, etc. Check closely up near the area where the gas cap attachs as the turning motion when installing and removing the gas cap may have split the hose.
