gas shocks for hatch

gas shocks for hatch
i cant get my old hatch shocks off.. ive removed it from the ball joint but i cant get the star bolt off to remove the other end of the shock. how do i do it?

It takes a torx bit like a T55 or T45. If they are the original ones it takes quite a bit of force to break them loose.
