gaps in body
My 94 Z28 has large gaps in the:
hood to front fender, top windshield corner to t-top, rear windshield to t-top, trunk lid to rear fender where it says Camaro
I know the 4th generation Z28 was about the best hot rod to money car ever made, but the gaps are bad. The worst are the front windshield corner to the t-top. The corner hangs out about the width of a pinky finger. The rear hatch is second worst with the bottom edge overhanging the rear panel so that I can fit my thumb between the two.
I've never looked closely at other camaros to see if it was the fault of a lazy worker or if the gaps are just inherent to camaros.

I would say your car has been wrecked in the past an not reassembled with proper care. I can almost bet that the glass was broken out of the hatch at one time. Since the glass acts as structural support to the hatch, when it is broken out, the pressure of the strut rods will push the back of the hatch toward the rear. When the glass is put back in, the installers must detach the struts or somehow make sure that the hatch is not "stretched". Once the glass is back in and the urethane adhesive is dry, you cannot do anything with the length of the hatch.
