ongoing problem that i should definitely address, what's the front turn signal bulb number for a 1994 camaro z28? i've gotten very contraindicating info from the web, and autozone told me they were 3057. i put the 3057 in, bulb flashes with the hazards but not when i signal left. now i'm hearing its a 2057 or a 2397...help please?

 

2057 and 2397 are old round style prongs. The prongs on the 3057 are a flat style. Just google images of all three and you will see what I'm talking about.

 

sorry i didnt put a 3057 in, i put a 1157 in, and now its doing what i stated earlier, with it blinking with the hazards on but nothing with the turn signal on. so 2057 it is then? or 2397?

 

found my manual and it says 2397, hopefully that returns everthing to normal

 

If not it's the turn/hazard switch assembly..

 

would it still be the hazard switch assembly if all bulbs blink with the hazards on?

 

Yep.. Here's how if you want the details.. The light blue (left turn indicator) wire goes to pin H of the Turn/Hazard Switch Assembly. Internally in the assembly the wire goes to two places one is the turn switch contact and the other is the hazard switch contact. In normal mode the hazard switch sends +12 v to the turn switch and the turn switch sends the turn flasher signal to the light blue wire. In hazard mode the hazard switch kills the +12 v to the turn switch and puts the hazard flasher signal on the light blue wire (actually all four blinker wires). So a defective or burnt contact in the turn circuitry side of the assembly can kill one blinker in turn mode , but it will work in hazard mode.
