Front bumper/headlight assemble/deflectors?? (pics?)
Does anyone have any pics or info on how the front of my Camaro goes back together? Specifically the two floppy black plastic panels with "ears" that are about as wide as the condensor. How do they go into the front end? Pics would be very helpful
I assume you're talking about
the black "corner" pieces that attach to the bottom of the front bumper cover?? (They're about 1.5 sq ft each... tough to guess as they're not square)
Anyway, if that is what you're talking about, they have some plastic parts that are molded perpendicular to the base piece. The main piece gets 6? 10mm bolts into clips around the leading edge of the bumper. One of the perpendicular molded pieces has a metal clip on it which lines up w/ a vertical metal plate... push the clip onto the metal plate... Then it is just a matter of tightening up about 10-12 (total) 10 mm bolts into those "clip things" that you put in the mounting holes..
Obviously, same thing on the other side..
These "air deflector" pieces are what one removes in order to change turn signal bulbs.
Get everything aligned before you tighten them all the way..
