Friend locked keys in car - who to call

My ex gf locked her keys in her car down in Memphis - assume there are no tools available, and that her opening it herself is not a possibility.

She tried AAA, but apparently she isn't a member anymore. Is her best bet just local tow services? I told her If she wants it cheaper to call local non-emergency number via operator and see if the fire dept./police or something can open it - but they aren't liable for damage so thats not the best..but I was thinking call them since she has no way of accessing phone numbers, ask if there's anything they can do -- and if not, ask for towing services number/locksmith/whatever they can provide.

I've never delt with this before so I didn't have much advice to give as far as phone numbers - any help is greatly appreciated by her and I. Thanks!

Pop A Lock - just checked their site and they're in Memphis too, sorry, didn't write down their local number. Neighbor in Jax locked herself out of her honda the other day, 30 min and $45 later...happy camper.

some times your insurance will cover towing. most tow companies will do it.

I've done all of my cars at one time or another with a coat hanger.

Re: Friend locked keys in car - who to call

Thanks for the responses - I know, coat hanger is always the first choice - but she's at the 311 concert, IN the concert now so her car will sit like that 5 hours or so until after - and being at a concert like that and being inexperienced - her opening it herself is not an option. Thanks for the suggestions I'll text 'em over to her now - any new ideas welcome as well. Thanks to all!

Look up the number for a locksmith. It will be about 50 bucks if it isn't a "emergancy"
