Foglight Bulb Replacement Question

Is there an easy way to change the foglight bulbs in my 95 Z28 without tearing the whole underside of the front clip apart?

Also, is there a secret to getting those cheap POS plastic fastners that secure the fascia to the core support out without destroying them?

Yes, if I remember correctly the foglight housing comes out of the front bumper and you can change it without taking the bumper off. I did it and I know for a fact that I didn't have to take it off. Just go out there and sit down in front of the car and take a good look at the way they are held in and you should see a way to get them out. That's what I did, but I can't remember how they went in. You should be able to figure it out pretty easily.

They make a forked tool that looks similar to a screwdriver, but has a forked end. Using something like that, you can easily get those plastic clips out without destroying them.

I usually put the car up on stands and then pull the bottom 5-6 clips holding the bumper to the bottom of the radiator core support. After that's free, you can snake your hand up in there to the back of the foglight assembly and change the bulb that way. It saves the hassle of pulling the entire assembly and trying to re-aim the foglights.

Here are two ways to do it. I've never done either, but I stumbled on this while reading other stuff on Brent's site.

Good site; I was describing Method #1 on that site. Again, the specialized tool makes removing those plastic push rivets much easier.

Method #1 from Brents site is the way to go. Took me all of 10 mins to replace the bulb. Just make sure to put a piece of paper under the light so you don't drop the clips down into the bumper.
