Fog Lights Dim
Fog Lights Dim
I have two Z's both with fog lights. The 98 model has much brighter fog lights than the 2001. Has anyone with a 2001 paid any attention to their fog lights? I was thinking the glass could possibly be different, or I may just need to adjust the light up
Any opinions?

I have a 2002 SS, and always notice how irrelevant the fog lights seem when turned on. Maybe it's that hemispherical lens, but they don't seem very bright at all. My '96 Z-28 had much brighter fog lights.
The headlights on the SS are much better than the 96's, though.

I put my 99 in a ditch about a year ago. As a result, I had the drivers side fog lamp replaced. After that, I noticed that the drivers side was WAY brighter than the passenger side. I took the passenger side off, and noticed alot of stone chips in the glass, but that wasnt the problem. On the inside, the reflector is just a thin layer of mylar. It was almost completely gone. Looks like it just rotted away from years of being exposed to the heat of the bulb.
I bought a new one for the passenger side, and also bought a set of 50w bulbs for the two (stock is 37w I think). Now theyre so bright, I not only can see a huge difference with them on, but I can also drive at night with only the fogs.
