Fog Light issues

It's been a while since I've been on here but i figured i would ask this question here before delving any deeper into this problem. Here's the what's happening. Just replaced both fog lamp bulbs on my 93 Z28. Now, here's what it's doing.
1. Ignition in run or running. Fog lights are on. Fog light switch is off.
2. Ignition in run or running. fog lights on, if i turn the fog light switch on, the switch turns on all the running lights, (side markers, taillights, etc) just as if i turned the headlight switch to the first position. headlight switch is off though.
3. Ignition off, headlight switch to first position, all running lights work properly. if i turn the fog light switch to on, they turn on and the fuel pump primes. this is with low beams on. switch to high beams, fog lights shut off normally.
This car does not have day time running lights, which according to all diagrams ive looked at, shouldn't turn the fog lights on anyways.
So basically what I'm asking is, Has anyone ever heard of this or seen this and what did you find?.
So again. Fog lights turn on with the ignition, and when the car is off and i turn the headlights on, then hit the fog light switch, the fuel pump primes.
Everything else on the car works just fine.

Thanks in advance for any ideas. I'll probably start pulling panels tomorrow to see if some wires got crossed or if the previous owners did something weird when installing the stereo system. Everything aftermarket i've found on this car, wiring wise, has been pretty horrible.

Re: Fog Light issues

Sounds like you are the victim of some creative wiring. I see some detective work in your future.

Coming from you shoebox, i know that statement is too true. I kinda figured it would be but figured i might as well give it a try on here.
