Question Flood Damage

I am thinking about getting hell of a project Anybody have any experience with rebuilding flood-damaged, hydrolocked engine? Is it worth rebuilding it at all? Is it possible to estimate rebuld cost without tearing it down? Replacement is not a good option, block/heads are not visually cracked and oil/coolant is not leaking. I also think, that it's not a bad idea to replace engine wiring on flooded car.
